Smorgastarta is usually made up with many layers of bread with creamy fillings in between and what kind of fillings and toppings varies.

Recipe: 4-6 Servings

INGREDIENTS

  • 12 slices of sandwich bread
  • slices lengthwise sliced rye bread

Filling 1:

  • 1 dl Abba Tuna spread
  • 1 jar (200 g) Abba MSC Tuna fish fillets in water
  • ½ finely chopped yellow onion
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • black pepper
  • salad spice

Filling 2:

  • 1 jar (80 g) Abba Caviar Red Lumpfish Roe
  • ½ dl shredded leek
  • ½ dl shredded apple, sour
  • 125 g cream cheese
  • 1 dl cream fraiche
  • black pepper
  • lemon juice

For decoration:

Shrimps, Abba Caviar, lemon, tomato, boiled egg, dill, fresh oregano.

PREPARATION

  1. Moisten the bread with the liquid from the tuna jar and put six slices of white bread as the bottom layer.
  2. Mix the ingredients in Filling 1 and spread it on the bread.
  3. Place the rye on top, mix the ingredients for Filling 2 and spread it over the dark bread.
  4. Add the remaining white bread slices on top of this.
  5. Finally, decorate the cake with the remaining ingredients. You can of course add whichever ingredients as decoration, according to your own personal taste.
