Try Swedish at PLMA 2016



For the ninth year in a row Business Sweden in the Netherlands arranged a Swedish pavilion at PLMA. With 2 400 exhibiting companies and over 12 000 unique visitors PLMA is the world’s largest and most important private label trade show. This year the fair took place the 24-25 of May but the Swedish participants arrived the one day before to prepare their stands and to partake in a networking dinner organised by Business Sweden and taking place at a restaurant located in the heart of Amsterdam.

The Swedish participation was larger than ever with 23 exhibiting companies: AB Anders Löfberg, Albina Snacks AB, Bofood AB, Delibake AB, Fjällbröd AB, Foodimpex International AB, Frebaco Kvarn AB, Klädesholmen AB, Kolafabriken i Sverige AB, Marenor AB, Maskinpakking AB, Matfabrikören Sverige AB, Mixwell AB, Mobergarna AB, Olle Svensson AB, Orkla Foods Sverige AB, Orkla Confectionary & Snacks Latvia, Orkla Confectionary & Snacks Sverige, Salinity, Schöttinger Finest Marsipan, Switsbake Int AB, Trensums Food AB and Västkustfilé AB.


The event was very successful with a good use of the concept TrySwedish. The Swedish pavilion was visited by a large number of buyers from international retail chains such as Walmart and Mercadona but also buyers from Swedish IKEA, ICA and Coop took the opportunity to meet with the Swedish exhibitors. This resulted in several new business leads for the exhibitors during the two days.
